The Colorado Folklore Dance Festival was created with the belief that folklórico is more than performance—it is cultural preservation, artistic excellence, education and community.
ArtistiCO's vision is to create an inclusive space where dance organizations of all sizes can share the stage, learn from one another and build meaningful relationships that extend beyond a single weekend.
The Colorado Folklore Dance Festival is a non-competitive, curated festival experience that brings together passionate performers to celebrate folklórico through workshops, cultural exchange and professionally produced performances in a welcoming and inspiring environment.
On Saturday, September 5, audiences are invited to experience two public showcases at the Buell Theatre featuring a range of participating Mexican folklórico companies. The Youth & Children’s Company Showcase and Adult Company Showcase offer community members the opportunity to enjoy the performances without registering for the full festival.
Whether your organization has been performing for decades or is continuing to grow—or you simply want to experience and support Colorado’s folklórico community—you are invited to help us build this new tradition.
The Festival is a collaborative event held by ArtistiCO Dance, Ballet Folklórico Sangre de México, Basaseachi Ballet Folklórico, and Omawari Dance Academy.
