Join us on Saturday, October 31, from 4:30pm-5:30pm for a Catrina Procession at The Galleria of the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Photo opportunities with the catrinas will be available from 5:30pm onwards. Dress in your Catrin/a outfit or stop by to admire the participants!
The Catrina Procession is organized by Eddie Carbajal, founder of CAROZ.
A Catrina Procession is a large, lively parade of people dressed as elegant skeletons, or "Catrinas", that takes place in Mexico as part of the Day of the Dead celebrations. Participants wear elaborate makeup/face paint and costumes to honor the iconic skeletal figure and celebrate death as part of the life cycle, merging pre-Hispanic traditions with modern art and creativity.
