Band of Toughs

You’re invited to the Bar at the End. A rowdy, roaming theatrical adventure from award-winning Band of Toughs, where survivors and lovable misfits stumble through an upended world in search of community and a dash of vengeful justice. Follow strange paths through unconventional spaces until you reach a magical bar—the last watering hole. Along the way: live music, laughs, libations and plenty of chances to make questionable choices. Built with local artists and shaped through community collaboratories, this immersive experience turns audiences into fellow travelers, troublemakers and temporary regulars at the weirdest bar you’ll ever find.

Colorado Photographic Arts Center

Join us for the Photography Showcase & Book Fair March 13, 2027, from 5:30–8:00 PM at the Studio Loft in the Ellie Caulkins Opera House as part of the Month of Photography Denver Festival. This free public event will feature 70 photographers—primarily Colorado-based—sharing portfolios, artist books and photographic artwork in an interactive exhibition and marketplace that connects artists directly with the public.

Itchy-O

Itchy-O brings its 15th annual Intergalactic Masquerade to Sculpture Park for a one-of-a-kind soiree filled with high-energy live music and cosmic pageantry. Founded in Denver in 2009, Itchy-O is a collective of more than 50 artists blending percussion, experimental electronics, movement, kinesthetic forms and a mysterious narrative that weaves together sound, symbolism and ceremonial spectacle into unforgettable events. Attendees are invited to join this communal rite, helping transform Sculpture Park into an inter-dimensional Springtime celebration.

The Right On Time

Time After Time After Time is a 24-hour ritual karaoke performance of Cyndi Lauper’s pop anthem “Time After Time,” beginning on New Year’s Eve and ending on New Year’s Day. Adam GG and the Right on Time perform the song continuously as audience members, local choirs and special guests join them onstage. Crossing midnight without stopping, the performance transforms a familiar pop song into an experimental collective ritual. As the song returns through changing voices, bodies, moods and hours, the work asks whether repetition can loosen the perception of time from a straight line between past, present and future.

Paper Brigade is a new musical inspired by the true story of the writers, teachers and intellectuals who risked their lives to save Yiddish literature from Nazi destruction. During a 30-day residency at Champa Studio, the creative team will put the show on its feet for the first time, exploring staging and the integration of archival sound into a live band score. Paper Brigade's residency will include a process-sharing workshop for emerging Denver artists, select songs and historical talks presented with Jewish and Polish community partners, an open rehearsal and a semi-staged workshop presentation and talkback open to the public. 

Soul Penny Circus

For a brief moment in history, the veil between worlds was thin enough to touch. The Victorian séance was real — earnest, ritualistic and extraordinarily effective — until the modern world arrived and the spirits went quiet.

Soul Penny Circus attempts something almost impossible: to recreate an interactive spectacle and genuine wonder for an audience that has seen everything. The key is a Colorado genius who heard voices from another world in 1899, whose greatest secrets were seized by the government and whose most feared invention we have recovered.
