Hal Smith's Swing Central Led by drummer Hal Smith, Swing Central is a quintet made up of top musicians who — with one exception — live in the Central Time Zone.
The group plays small-band swing music of the ‘30s and ‘40s, including songs associated with Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Lester Young, Pee Wee Russell, Charlie Christian plus Boogie Woogie specialties and original compositions.
