Opera Colorado announced that it will hold chorus auditions for its 2014-2015 season productions of Puccini’s "Madama Butterfly" and Mozart’s "The Magic Flute." Chorus auditions will take place on Saturday, Sept. 20 from noon-5pm in the Chorus Rehearsal Room at St. John’s Cathedral, located at 1350 Washington Street, Denver.
Preference will be given to tenors, baritones and basses. Singers should prepare two selections from the arts song, opera or musical theatre repertoire to perform at the audition. Preferably, one selection should be in a foreign language. Repertoire should be memorized.
Singers selected for the 2014-2015 Season Chorus will need to be available for weekday evening and weekend rehearsals as indicated below:
Madama Butterfly | Oct. 8 – Nov. 23
The Magic Flute | March 25 – May 10, 2015
