Vote for Red Rocks!
Tuesday, July 16, 2013
Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre may have been home to the dinosaurs 160 million years ago, but for the last century it has been home to humanity's obsession with music and performance. Not only do music-lovers flock to Red Rocks concerts, but Red Rocks hosts graduations, weddings, Easter services and more, and its iconic stature attracts more than a million visitors, outdoor enthusiasts, exercisers, hikers, bikers and picnickers each year.

Coloradoans know Red Rocks is a world-class venue and one of our state's most beloved and visited attractions. But, is it the best concert venue in Denver? Is it a "wonder of the world' on par with places like the Great Pyramids and Taj Mahal? We think so! And now you have the chance to bring local and international recognition to our favorite sandstone playground.

First, let's start locally. Denver Arts & Venues is honored to announce that Red Rocks Amphitheatre has been nominated for Denver A-list for Best Venue, Best Live Music Venue and Best Landmark. We are excited about the nominations, but can't win without your help. Voters determine the winner, so please vote for Red Rocks as your favorite before Aug. 18.

Globally, we have the chance to be named the "Eighth Wonder of the World” by VirtualTourist.com. Red Rocks faces some stiff competition, from the likes of Ireland's Cliffs of Moher to San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge. Visit the 8th Wonder voting page and remember, you can submit one vote per day, so come back daily to vote again through Sept. 30.
