THE ZARLENGO FOUNDATION PRESENTS BILLY GARDELL, STAR OF THE HIT TV SERIES MIKE AND MOLLY, SATURDAY, APRIL 13TH, 8:00PM

The Zarlengo Foundation proudly presents the star of the hit TV Series Mike and Molly, BILLY GARDELL, live at The Ellie Caulkins Opera House on Saturday, April 13th, 2013. The Comedy Works All-Stars will open the show featuring local favorites Josh Blue (Winner of Last Comic Standing), Steve “Mudflap” McGrew (from Comedy Central and Showtime), and Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald (star of Animal Planet’s Emergency Vets.

Tickets are $39.50 - $59.50 and go on sale Friday, January 11th at 10 AM online at Ticketmaster.com, at all Ticketmaster outlets or charge by phone at 800.745.3000. Proceeds will benefit The Zarlengo Foundation, a Colorado-based 501(c) 3 non-profit organization whose guiding principle is to support families of learning disabled children.  A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to schools and programs in the community that provide specialized education for children with learning disabilities, including but not limited to language-based, attention and nonverbal disabilities such as dyslexia and attention deficit disorder.  Since its inception, the Foundation has contributed more than $350,000 to education-related causes in the Denver area. 

About Billy Gardell: Billy Gardell stars in the CBS Hit television series, MIKE AND MOLLY. MIKE AND MOLLY garners approximately 13 million viewers every week and is the number one new series of the year.

Gardell co-starred in the critically acclaimed television series “Lucky.” His other television credits include “Yes Dear” and “Judging Amy,” on the Network, “My Name is Earl,” “The Practice,” “Monk” and “Gary the Rat.”

He made his major motion picture debut alongside Anthony Quinn and Sylvester Stallone in “Avenging Angelo,” and had a memorable scene with Billy Bob Thornton in the Cohen Brother’s film “Bad Santa.” He also appeared in “You, Me & Dupree.”

Gardell took the long road to Hollywood, stopping at every small town lounge, military base and comedy club along the way. His comedy act took him to Los Angeles where his dedication to acting, along with touring as a stand-up comedian, allowed him to grow consistently in both arenas. His stand-up show is a powerhouse. His grounded, down-to-earth point of view strikes a strong chord with American audiences. Stories about his rough childhood, wild adolescence and new family life are executed with the skill of a master craftsman. Gardell has opened for such well-known comedians as George Carlin and Dennis Miller.

A native of Pittsburgh who currently lives in Los Angeles, Gardell loves Steeler football, stand-up comedy and his son. His birth date is August 20.
